With blooms larger than the size of your head… we present the Crape Myrtle!

(Crape or Crepe – either spelling of this lovely tree is correct.)

These trees are a staple in any sunny landscape. Crapes can take the Florida heat, are drought tolerant once established, and contrary to popular belief, they don’t require much pruning!

For pruning, you can conduct light prunes whenever, such as expired blooms or poorly placed branches. To prune spent flowers, trim just above a leaf to encourage a second or even a third round of flowers! Save hard prunes for end of winter and never drastically cut back all the branches, this is known as Crape Murder and can shock your plant.

It’s easy to find a Crape for your garden needs, as they come in a variety of shapes and sizes – from dwarf varieties staying around four feet to larger sizes that can reach above 30 feet!

Stop in today to pick out the perfect Crape Myrtle for your garden.

Anybody can sell you plants, we make sure you succeed.
