We’re going back to the basics today with our favorite Espoma Organic product, Bio-Tone! 🌿
If you’ve purchased plants here before, then you definitely have heard us talk about this garden miracle! We talk about it so often because it’s just that good!
So, what is Bio-Tone? It’s an organic starter plant food formulated to get plants off to a great start and to thrive! It contains both beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizal fungi. The mycorrhizae colonize the roots to form a symbiotic relationship where the fungi provide nutrients in a form that plants can use. This results in stronger growth, quicker establishment, and a healthier plant!
Now… how do you use it? Bio-Tone is only meant to be used at the time of planting. The fungi won’t benefit the plant on top of the soil. You’ll mix the appropriate amount into the planting hole at planting time. And be sure to water right after planting, this activates the Bio-Tone.
Maybe the best part about it is that you can use it on ANY plant! 😱 Flower, shrubs, vegetable plants, trees, houseplants, you name it! 🌸🪴🍅🌳
