The most important thing you can do right now is be patient! We know it can be hard because we all want our garden beds to look their best, but wait to prune. The damaged foliage acts as a barrier for the plants in the incidence of another frost.
So… it got pretty cold. If your plants look anything like the photos in our post, you’re going to want to read this! They show what plants that have suffered frost damage look like.
Be sure you are still watering! Plants lose lots of water after a cold night. Water them well at the roots so that as temps warm back up, water is available to replace what was lost to the cold winds.
Now for Palm Trees, the same rules apply. Have patience when pruning, over-pruning palm trees by removing all fronds can hurt their ability to gather nutrients and limit their chance of surviving.
