Turn your backyard into a tropical oasis with Lobster Claw Heliconias! 🦞☀️

Here are 4 fun facts:

1. The red and yellow “claws” that emerge aren’t actually flowers, they’re modified leaves called bracts! Their flowers are hidden inside the claw-shaped bracts. Plants use these brightly colored bracts to draw in pollinators like hummingbirds and butterflies.

2. Their blooms can be used in flower arrangements. Add them to a bouquet for a tropical touch.

3. Despite looking similar to the Bird of Paradise, Heliconias are actually closer related to Bananas.

4. Their blooms can last up to a month on the plant and 2-3 weeks if used in a bouquet.
